‘Boy Meets Congress’: Ben Savage’s Former Castmates Weigh In On His Campaign

Actor Ben Savage has declared his intention to run for Congress in California, and his ex” Boy Meets World” cast members have just shared their opinions on his social future.

Actors Will Friedle, Rider Strong, and Danielle Fishel started the” Pod Meets World” podcast episode from last Wednesday by talking about a 90s hit in which Cory Mathews( Savage’s’s character ) ran for class president. The most recent instance of life imitating art — Savage’s’s congressional campaign— quickly followed that conversation.

Fishel, who portrayed Savage’s’s on-screen love interest Topanga Lawrence, moderated the conversation and asked Friedle — who had taken on the role of Eric, the older brother — the first question.

What do you think about Ben Savage’s’s bid for Congress, Will? She enquired.

Friedle made it clear that it wasn’t a subject that should be discussed, and not for purposes related to Savage.

When someone asks me to publicly discuss politics, I may say what I say, which is that I do not do so. You simply don’t talk about politics, your sex life, or how much money you make, according to Friedle, which is how I was raised. Since I was 18 years old, I have always spoken exclusively in the voting booth. That is my response, then.

Strong also declined to accept a political candidate, stating that while he was aware of the public’s’s curiosity, it was not appropriate for him to do so given that they had collaborated as teenagers. He continued by saying that they might never agree on the problems in the first place unless something had changed.

Ben and I didn’t really believe on little socially when we were younger. We frequently discovered that we were on completely opposing sides of nearly every problem. He continued,” I’m’m not going to endorse Ben just because I had the same job as him when I was a teenager. Now, the important thing to state is that we were teenagers and it was 1993 through 2000, so maybe much has changed.”

Fishel emphasized that even if she wanted to, she don’t vote for Savage because she resided in a different city. Having said that, she continued,” I believe it is crucial to determine what our personal priorities are. You should look for the things that mean the most to you, and you should try to find a president who directly reflects your values before you support that woman.”

If elected, Savage would succeed Congressman Adam Schiff( D-CA ), who has also declared his intention to step down as senator.
