Brave Girl Killed By School Shooter Tried To Stop Rampage By Pulling Fire Alarm: Report
Reports state that one of the three schoolchildren who were shot in a Christian school by a Nashville shooter was a brave nine-year-old girl trying to stop the massacre by pulling on a fire alarm. Unfortunately, she was killed in the process.
Evelyn Dieckhaus was among the three victims of the Nashville school shooting. Woodmont Christian Church held a vigil where Evelyn was eulogized, and her sister, Eleanor, a fifth-grader, is to be baptized soon.
Eleanor spoke tearfully, saying “I don’t want to be an only child” during the vigil. The Dieckhaus family issued a statement expressing their loss and heartbreak over the incident that happened at the affiliate of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Covenant School, which serves students from pre-K through 6.
Additionally, a Sunday school teacher at Evelyn’s church described her as an adorable child, saying she was one of two sisters she taught. She expressed her shock and grief over the incident, adding that it is time for prayer, grief, and action.
The Covenant School, where the shooting occurred, expressed grief, saying their community is heartbroken and focused on healing, loving, and supporting students, families, faculty, and staff. The shooter was a 28-year-old woman who identifies as a man, shot by the police who stormed the school and confronted her on the second floor. The Daily Wire chose not to name the shooter to avoid giving the notoriety often associated with mass shooters.
