The FD-1023 form, dated June 30, 2020, includes information from a confidential human source who detailed how the Bidens allegedly used their influence to extort money from Burisma. Hunter Biden, despite lacking experience in the oil and gas sector, served on Burisma’s board starting in 2014.
The FBI source described Hunter Biden as “stupid” but explained that he was kept on the board due to his father’s position as vice president and his involvement in Ukraine affairs during the Obama administration.
According to the FD-1023 form, Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky admitted during a 2016 meeting in Austria that it cost $5 million to pay each Biden. These comments were made in relation to Burisma’s plans to acquire an energy company in the United States.
The document also revealed that Zlochevsky expressed dissatisfaction with President Trump’s election victory in 2017 and voiced concerns about Burisma’s connection to the Bidens. The source reported that Zlochevsky used Russian slang to describe being forced or coerced to pay the Bidens.
The FD-1023 form further discussed the dismissal of Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Burisma for corruption before being fired. Zlochevsky initially preferred American oil and gas advisors with experience in the sector, but due to the ongoing investigation, he felt compelled to involve the Bidens.
Senator Grassley criticized the Justice Department and FBI for withholding the document for years and questioned their motives. He pledged to conduct a thorough investigation into the allegations made by the FBI informant.
The complete FD-1023 form can be accessed here.
