BREAKING NEWS: Ken Block, Professional Race Car Driver, Killed in Accident
According to local law enforcement, Ken Block, a professional race car driver, was killed in Utah Monday in a snowmobile accident. He was 55.
The Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office said that they received a phone call about a snowmobile accident in the Mill Hollow area around 2 p.m.
“The driver, Kenneth Block, 55-year-old male out of Park City, Utah, was riding a snowmobile on a steep slope when the snowmobile upended, landing on top of him,” Police made the statement. “He was pronounced deceased at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident.”
Block was said to have been riding in a group, but was not present when the accident occurred.

Hoonigan Industries was co-founded by Block. He announced his death via a Facebook post.
“It’s with our deepest regrets that we can confirm that Ken Block passed away in a snowmobile accident today,” The statement stated. Ken was visionary, pioneer, and icon. He was a father and husband, which is what made him so special. He will be incredibly missed.”
