Brett Cooper Slams Leftist Streamer Hasan Piker After He’s ‘Triggered’ By ‘The Comments Section’
Brett Cooper issued a scathing rebuttal to the criticisms lobbed at her by Twitch streamer Hasan Piker last week.
Cooper, who hosts “The Comments Section” on The Daily Wire, noted how her existence had “triggered” the former Young Turks journalist enough for him to make a video about her. She selected specific clips from his original video to respond to.
First and foremost was Cooper’s appearance, which Piker said was eerily similar to Ben Shapiro, but female. “Brenda Shapiro,” he scoffed at one point. Cooper has addressed this issue before and even made jokes about it on social media.
Many of Piker’s complaints had to do with Cooper’s lack of “authenticity,” primarily because “The Comments Section” is produced in a studio. Cooper clapped back, saying she’s never made a secret of her location, and even did a video documenting the process of setting up her space.
Piker called Cooper’s location “a fake room.” He also complained that Cooper wasn’t streaming, which she again points out is no secret on her part. “No matter what she does, it’s gonna be all ‘brand,’” Piker says.
“Are you offended that I’m in a studio?” Cooper retorts in her response. She goes on to explain how she and the producers designed it “to her liking” to make it “personalized.”
“I don’t really know what the problem is,” the “Comments Section” host continues. “I love the fact that he felt like it was a ‘gotcha’ to find out that this was not a real room. I’ve never hidden that. I post on my Story behind the scenes stuff all the time, I have an entire post where I talk about the creation of the set.”

“I put this show together,” Cooper says. “I pick my segments. I have veto power over anything, you know, it’s structured around what I choose. … It’s genuinely the stuff that I’m interested in.”
Piker argues that kids should be learning about “gender” and that conservatives are quick to call everything grooming. He watches a video of Cooper critiquing this being part of the curriculum but then makes an interesting admission.
“Why do people get so mad at this?” he asks. “I know your immediate reaction is like, ‘What the f***, why are children learning about this’ but then it’s like … why not? I mean, I haven’t seen the full thing …”
Cooper draws attention to the fact that Piker keeps arguing the point, and says he didn’t bother to watch the original video.
After some more callouts, Cooper declares herself “undeterred” and promises to keep making her show despite what Piker thinks of it.
