Broken ARRW – Lockheed Martin Out of Hypersonic Weapons Program

While there has been a significant amount of research into hypersonic weapons, they are not as effective at delivering destructive energy to targets compared to ballistic or cruise missiles. Despite this, America’s enemies have been investing resources into building them.

As Napoleon Bonaparte once said, “Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.”

Unfortunately, Lockheed Martin has been removed from the hypersonic weapons program due to issues with their ARRW (Air-launched Rapid Response Weapon) system. This setback may give America’s enemies an advantage in the race to develop hypersonic weapons.
