Buttigieg Finally Makes It to East Palestine and It Doesn’t Go Well for Him
On Thursday, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg finally made it to East Palestine, Ohio — almost three weeks since the train derailment there on February 3 that resulted in chemical contamination of the area. It was only after a Public backlash huge Because of the lack of response from Buttigieg or the Biden team to this disaster, former President Donald Trump went to the site. Joe Biden, aside from a tweet about the disaster, has not made any public statements. He actually went to Ukraine to help them with millions of dollars and stated instead He had fallen in love with Ukraine.
Trump arrived with Water and supplies available on Wednesday He purchased a lot of McDonald’s food for residents and first responders in the area.
At 7:15 a.m., Buttigieg arrived with a hard hat on and an attitude.
Reporters attempted to ask him questions, but he refused and his press secretary rose in their faces. She stated that she did not want to speak on camera with her boss for public appearances, and that it was inappropriate for her to ask. “aggressive.”
Sec. Buttigieg, why did it take him nearly 3 weeks to visit East Palestine and speak with residents?

Aren’t answering questions on video part of the job description of a press secretary. They need to admit how bad they’ve handled this. It’s like applying salt to a wound that won’t heal.
Buttigieg dodged another question about his inability to do his job.

Buttigieg was able to visit the wreckage.
Some, such as Steve Guest, Senator Ted Cruz’s Special Adviser for Communications, noted the irony in Buttigieg’s recent comments about construction workers while he stood there, East Palestine, wearing a hard hat. For those who have studied the history, this was a little like a “strange” hat. “Mike Dukakis” Moment to me, Buttigieg wearing that hard hat.

Mike Dukakis was mocked for wearing a helmet to make his head look funny and tough during his 1988 run for the presidency. It’s not the funny look that Buttigieg has, but the incompetent manner he’s managed the entire of his job, across multiple situations.
CNN spoke to residents of the area and it became clear that Buttigieg’s appearance is one day late and short on dollars. He may not be able to regain any credibility for the Biden administration.
“What can [Pete Buttigieg] do on the ground today that would actually help you guys?”
“I think that for a lot of people it’s a little — no matter what happens right now — is gonna seem very late on the federal response, this happened on the third of February.” pic.twitter.com/Arcy6O8b5C

“What can [Pete Buttigieg] do on the ground today that would actually help you guys?” We asked the residents. “I think that for a lot of people, it’s a little — no matter what happens right now — is gonna seem very late on the federal response, this happened on the third of February,” One person responded.
This is the bottom line: The people living in this area don’t care. They would have responded if they had cared long before Trump went there to shame them into doing so.
