Candace Owens declines ‘Barbie’ movie, here’s why.

Mainstream Media Fawns Over “Barbie” Movie, But Some Reviewers Are Less Than‍ Enthused

The latest “Barbie” movie has been receiving⁢ a lot of praise from ‍mainstream media, but not everyone is impressed with its extreme feminist ‍messaging. Daily Wire host Candace Owens shared⁤ her thoughts on⁢ the fantasy comedy, which premiered on⁤ July 21.

Owens Explains Why‍ She‍ Has No Interest in Watching the Movie

Despite the intense marketing efforts to convince her otherwise, Owens explained on Friday why she had no desire to see the‌ film.

“One‌ thing I ‍really dislike about our world ⁣today is⁣ the increasing anti-man sentiment. While we pretend that women are oppressed by the patriarchy, toxic feminism ‌has actually risen to power and⁤ is oppressing men with nonsensical movements,” she expressed.

Owens then provided examples of celebrities embodying this toxic ⁤femininity, such as Jonah⁣ Hill’s ex-girlfriend accusing him of “emotional ‍abuse” and publicly ‌sharing ⁢private text⁢ messages, as well as Bebe Rexha reacting poorly to her ex’s admission that she⁢ gained weight.

According to Owens, women often exhibit⁢ vicious behavior towards men,⁣ and this is often celebrated in the mainstream ⁤as a feminist victory. She based her decision not to watch the movie on a review written by Sarah Vine ‍for the ⁢Daily Mail, which highlighted some of the issues with “Barbie.”

“I trusted her words,” Owens stated.‍ She then quoted the review, which stated, “… My main ⁣objection is ⁤that Barbie is ⁢not really a‌ film about Barbie ⁢at all. It’s one hour and 54 minutes‍ of ‌extended misandry, dressed up with a few fun dance routines and one or⁤ two ‌(granted fairly decent) jokes.”

Vine added, “It’s a deeply anti-man movie, an extension of⁣ all that TikTok feminism ⁢that paints⁣ any form ‍of masculinity — other than the most anodyne — as toxic and predatory, and frames ⁤women’s liberation not as a movement based on achieving equality between the sexes ‌but as a cultural revenge vehicle designed to write men out of‍ the story altogether.”

Owens found this synopsis enough to completely turn her off⁣ from watching the movie.

“If the movie ‍conveys that ⁢men are either ‍idiots, bigots, ⁣or sad losers who need⁣ to be put in their ‍place by women⁣ whenever they display any form of masculinity, then ⁤I’m⁤ simply not interested,” she concluded.
