Candace Owens shares important info from ‘Convicting A Murder’ docuseries in Ben Shapiro interview.

Introducing ⁤”Convicting a Murderer”: The Other Side of “Making a Murder”

Author and⁢ Daily Wire host ⁤ Candace Owens is set to unveil her new docuseries, “Convicting a Murderer” (CAM), which offers a fresh perspective on Netflix’s hit limited series, “Making a Murder” (MAM).

MAM captivated audiences with ‌the story of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey, who were convicted of murdering photographer ⁣Teresa Halbach. The series sparked widespread debate, with⁣ many arguing Avery’s ⁣innocence.

In a conversation⁣ with Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro on “The Ben Shapiro Show,” Owens⁤ revealed the deceptive editing tactics employed by ⁢MAM creators Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos, which she exposes in CAM.

“One of the⁤ things that these two documentary makers were really brilliant at was deceptive editing,” Owens shared with Shapiro. “They⁢ would show you parts of the court testimony, making ‍you believe⁤ you were witnessing ‌a person’s genuine response.”

Owens then provided an example ⁣of a police officer appearing tense and untruthful in the documentary after being asked a pointed question in court. However, Owens clarified that the officer’s ⁣reaction⁢ was actually from a different ‌moment, cleverly edited to create a false narrative.

“They took footage of him sitting up at a different time and⁤ placed it next to a question he was asked at a different moment,” she explained. “These ⁤deceptive editing tricks heavily suggested innocence or guilt.”

Owens also emphasized‌ that ‌her research contradicts the apparent narrative presented in MAM. “Having Avery’s family in the documentary is incredible because we can ask them those pointed questions,” she said.

However, ⁢Owens’s main goal is ⁣to encourage viewers to keep an⁢ open ‌mind, even if they⁢ strongly support Netflix’s MAM.

“I love the opportunity to change people’s minds,” she expressed. “And I think that afterwards, if you’re willing to exercise that humility, you’ll be amazed. You won’t doubt yourself, but you’ll grow from the experience.”

DailyWire+ will be streaming the first two episodes of this highly anticipated true crime series for free on the platform ‌on Friday, ‌with early access for members starting on Thursday. Episode one will also be ⁤available on the DailyWire+ YouTube channel and on X. The ⁤remaining seven episodes will be‌ released weekly on the subscriber-based streaming service every Thursday.
