Candace Owens Urges CPAC: ‘No Middle Ground’ on Leftist Policies That Hurt Families
WASHINGTON, D.C.—A lot of leftist policies seem nonsensical and unrelated, but conservative activist Candace Owens says she has found the common thread among them. She advocates a firm stance in dealing with these issues.
When conservatives look at the agenda items being promoted, “We look up and we go, ‘How? Why?'” Owens addressed the Conservative Political Action Conference on March 2.
“The truth is that their intentions are to go after the one thing that stands between them and absolute power, and that is the family unit,” she said, drawing a round of applause from the crowd at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.
Owens spoke out about how the leftist agenda items have weakened America’s family. This was a reality she only recently discovered. She became a mother to two children over the course of five years.
Owens first concern was climate change. The climate change that is threatening the existence of our planet is being blamed on humankind. It is being taught to children that this would be. “irresponsible” Owens stated that they would be parents to increase the climate burden.
She also mentioned Transgenderism as a second trend that can cause harm to the family. It encourages people who mutilate their bodies. “so that they cannot reproduce,” Owens said. “What better way to annihilate families?”
Third is Feminism. She said it espouses a feminist outlook. “hatred of men,” While encouraging women to “be just like men” To and from “climb the corporate ladder,” Owens said. It is said that women shouldn’t be worried about their children. “the government will raise them,” Owens said.
Society’s destruction
Parents’ duties are being transferred to “the Department of Education, which, by the way, should be abolished,” Owens said that he was getting more applause.
She said that this has bigger negative consequences for society.
“You’re telling men that any demonstration of masculinity is wrong and backward, producing a society where they want men like dogs with their tails between their legs,” Owens said.
This is the goal, she stated. “because they know that there is no society that can survive without strong men, and there is no family that can survive without both strong men and strong women committed to their children.”
Non-Negotiable
Owens spoke to the crowd after her 17-minute speech. She stated that there were certain issues in the struggle between right and left.
“If you are somebody who believes that we need to meet and sit down and break bread with the left on these various topics, to figure out how we can come together, we don’t need you,” Owens declared. “We need fighters.”
The audience clapped when they heard that.
Owens stated that there cannot be compromises on morality issues, especially with respect to children.
“There is no middle ground on transgenderism. There is no middle ground on child grooming. There is no middle ground on coming up with fluffy terms for pedophilia. There is no middle ground,” She said. “And if you are offended because some of us have the courage to say what needs to be said, we simply don’t need you. We don’t need you.”
She ended her speech with a strong note, drawing cheers. “I will never stop fighting, myself, especially when it comes to family.”
Other Strong Conservative Voices
The conference is now in its second day, with former Secretary of state Mike Pompeo as the main speaker. He was originally scheduled for March 2.
Also on the agenda are the two candidates who have announced they will challenge former President Donald Trump as they seek the Republican nomination for president: former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy. Trump is scheduled for March 4.
Other March 3 speakers include Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), and James Comer (R-Ky.), chairman of the House Oversight Committee; Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr.; people who were prosecuted for protesting election integrity at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021; and Chloe Cole, a California teen who became nationally known for disavowing gender-transition procedures she underwent.
