CDC removes COVID vaccine adverse events reporting from website.

The CDC ‌Halts‌ Collection of COVID-19 Vaccine Adverse Events ⁤Reports

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and⁤ Prevention (CDC) has made ⁤the decision to stop collecting reports of adverse events‌ related to COVID-19 ⁢vaccines⁤ through ‌its V-Safe page. This comes at a time when millions⁢ of Americans have reported ⁢being “impacted” by ‌these⁢ vaccines.

When⁤ visiting the V-Safe page, a message is displayed stating that data⁢ collection for⁣ COVID-19 vaccines concluded on ⁢June 30, ⁢2023. It advises individuals with symptoms or health concerns following vaccination⁣ to‌ contact their healthcare provider or report to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System⁣ (VAERS).

V-Safe was created by the CDC to collect COVID-19 vaccination health assessments, while VAERS is ⁣an older system co-managed by the CDC and the Food and Drug Administration⁣ (FDA).

The CDC states that enrollment in V-safe was closed‍ on May 19, as the program ⁣was specifically developed for COVID-19 vaccines. The agency is currently working on a new version of V-safe ⁤that ⁤will allow users to⁢ share their post-vaccination ‌experiences with new vaccines.

Since its ‌launch in December 2020, V-Safe ‍has registered 10.1 million participants who have completed over 151 million health surveys regarding their experiences following⁤ COVID-19 ‌vaccination, according to⁢ the CDC.

According‌ to V-Safe data accessed by the advocacy group Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) in September 2022,⁤ out of the 10.1 million⁤ users who⁢ reported on the platform, 3.53 million ‍people claimed ‍to have‌ been adversely “impacted” by the vaccination.

Impacts Reported on⁤ V-Safe:

  • 1.2 million unable to conduct normal activities
  • 1.3 million missed school/work
  • 800,000 required medical care

A total of 6.45 million health impacts were reported on⁤ V-Safe. Among the ⁣impacted individuals, white people accounted for the majority,⁣ with 2.6 million affected. Females⁣ among the white population‌ made up the majority share at 1.9 million. Additionally, 200,000 Asian and 200,000 ⁣black individuals were impacted.

The vaccine brand with the most reported adverse events ⁤was Moderna, with 1.6⁢ million impacts, followed⁣ by Pfizer with 1.4 million.

Out of a total ⁢of⁣ 71.29 million reported symptoms, pain was the most‍ commonly reported at 19 million, followed⁤ by fatigue at 11.7⁣ million, headache at 9.1 million, and muscle/body aches at‌ 7.2 million.

Over ⁣751,000 ⁤individuals reported needing care after their COVID-19 vaccination. Among those⁣ aged ⁣3‍ or older,‌ 48.3 percent sought “urgent ⁢care,” while 15 percent‌ had to visit emergency rooms. Among individuals younger than 3 years old, these numbers were at 65.5 percent and 9.1 percent.

A ‘Worse’ Decision By CDC

In an Aug. 24 post‍ at the Brownstone ‍Institute,⁢ Dr. David⁤ Gortler, a former member of the FDA’s senior executive leadership team who first reported the V-Safe shutdown, ⁢criticized⁢ the CDC’s ⁤decision.

Dr. Gortler stated that he cannot “cite another example of any agency or manufacturer halting‍ collection of safety ⁤data.” He believes that stopping ‌V-Safe is⁢ particularly concerning as it was collecting safety data on mRNA vaccines, a new technology with uncertain long-term consequences.

V-Safe was halted despite the CDC’s continued encouragement for ⁢individuals as young ⁣as six months to stay up‌ to date ⁣with COVID-19 vaccines and boosters.

“On top‌ of this, both manufacturers and the FDA refuse to share the list of ingredients, such as lipid nanoparticles, which could⁣ affect individuals differently⁤ and take ⁤a long⁢ time to manifest clinically,”‍ Dr.‍ Gortler ⁣wrote.

As of‍ Dec. 9, 2022, there were 909,868 reports of VAERS‍ adverse events in the United States for all six vaccines⁣ in use. This included 96,140 serious adverse events ⁣and 15,733 deaths.

“The CDC‌ has argued⁣ VAERS ⁤is untrustworthy. So, what’s the trustworthy repository for ⁢vaccine⁣ adverse events? CDC refuses to participate in ⁤one.⁣ This is so breathtakingly corrupt and dangerous it’s hard to ‌believe, but it’s true,” ⁤said ‍Brad Lemley, a health and⁣ science writer,⁢ in an Aug. 25 post on X.

Vaccination ⁤and Pandemic Restriction Push

The Biden administration is currently pushing for pro-vaccine ⁤measures.⁢ President Biden intends ‍to ask Congress for more funding to develop new COVID-19 vaccinations, after his $9 billion ‌funding request last⁣ fall was denied by Congress.

There are also reports that pandemic-era restrictions like compulsory masking, social distancing, and ⁢lockdowns ‍may be imposed again due to the emergence of a⁤ new COVID-19 strain⁤ called BA.2.86, which ⁤the World Health Organization is monitoring.

Some⁢ institutions, such as⁤ Morris Brown College and Upstate Medical’s two ⁢hospitals in New York, have⁣ already⁣ implemented ‍mask mandates.
