CDC Refuses to Answer Questions About Codes to Track Reasons Why Americans Turn Down the COVID-19 Jabs
FIRST ON THE DAILY SIGNAL—The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told The Daily Signal that it “will not be tracking” Americans will not take medication for the following reasons: COVID-19 vaccineAfter the House Republicans demanded information about a new classification system to track reasons for vaccine refusal,
The Daily Signal was told by the congressional Republicans that the CDC did not respond to their questions within the given time frame.
“Two weeks ago, we sent a letter to the CDC demanding answers about its new COVID-19 vaccine database,” Rep. Josh Brecheen, R-Okla., told The Daily Signal Monday’s statement. “The CDC is stonewalling us and refusing to respond.”
“Why won’t the CDC explain why it’s gathering data about Americans’ personal choices? House Republicans are not afraid to use the budgetary process to keep the CDC accountable to the American people,” Brecheen warned.
House Republicans raised alarm over the Participation of the CDC with the World Health Organization’s recently codified International Classification of Disease, or ICD, codes related to COVID-19 vaccination status, which went into effect last April. These codes allow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to gather data about Americans refusing to receive one of the vaccines.
The letter from Republican legislators explains why the new ICD codes should be rejected:
These reasons include immunizations not being performed due to contraindication (Z28.0-), immunizations not being performed because of patient belief or group pressure (Z28.1) and immunizations not being carried out due to patient decision for another reason (Z28.2-).
The Daily Signal was told by The CDC that it and National Center for Health Statistics didn’t have any data. The information will not be tracked.
“The ICD codes were implemented in April 2022, however the CDC/NCHS does not have any data on the codes and will not be tracking this information,” Nick Spinelli was a spokesperson for CDC. He sent an emailed message. “The codes are developed and managed by the World Health Organization to enable healthcare providers to track within their practices. Also, for some specialties the codes are used to track organ donors’ ability to donate.”
Bert Kelly, another CDC spokesperson, Reuters The agency can only analyze ICD codes data about vaccination status. However, the CDC or the center for health statistics can. “are not tracking individuals” The data is “analyzed without any personal identifiers.” While some agencies may not be covered by privacy laws regarding personal health information, they can still access the ICD codes. However, the data is protected. “not associated with specific patient identifiers,” Kelly was also mentioned.
House Republicans expressed concern at what they called stonewalling.
“I have asked five simple questions about the CDC’s unprecedented tracking of why Americans declined the COVID-19 vaccine,” The Daily Signal was informed by Chip Roy (Rep. “The CDC has so far refused to answer these basic questions.”
Roy, Brecheen, and eight other Republicans—Reps. Greg Steube of Florida; Andy Ogles of Tennessee; Bill Posey of Florida; Mary Miller of Illinois; Dan Bishop of North Carolina; Andy Biggs of Arizona; Keith Self of Texas; and Lauren Boebert of Colorado—sent the letter Feb. 14 demanding answers to these five questions:
- Why did the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and National Center for Health Statistics start collecting data about why Americans didn’t take the COVID-19 vaccination?
- How to CDC and NCHS Do you intend to use these COVID-19 vaccine ICD codes?
- What are the CDC/NCHS steps being taken to ensure Americans’ private health data contained in the ICD systems is protected?
- Can the CDC or NCHS confirm that they haven’t, won’t, and can not create a database of Americans based upon their COVID-19 vaccination statuses?
- Can the CDC or NCHS confirm that private firms do not have access the American COVID-19 vaccine status via the ICD system or any other database managed by the CDC?
“The American people deserve answers on what data CDC is gathering on Americans and why,” Roy stated Monday. “The CDC’s silence is simply unacceptable, and they should be held accountable.”
According to the Department of Health and Human ServicesAll federal agencies must comply with this requirement. “meet the requirements of the Privacy Act of 1974, which restricts what information about individual citizens—including any personal health information—can be shared with other agencies and with the public.”
While the government cannot make civilian Americans take COVID-19, it can require vaccinations from private institutions, such as airlines, colleges, employers, and universities. The U.S. military granted religious exemptions to thousands of its members, but the majority were denied. The Defense Department confirmed that the exemptions were granted in December. The Daily Signal 8 424 servicemen were dismissed for refusing the jab.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, criticism has been levelled at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other agencies. Dr. Anthony Fauci was the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. They confessed that they were concerned about their health. To prevent panic buying, the initial recommendation of masks was not made by the establishment. Critics claim that health agencies exaggerated the effectiveness of vaccines.
Citing the CDC, other health agencies, social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter took action to suppress COVID-19 content if it was contrary to the government’s narrative. One Facebook employee admitted that the company had done so. suppressed “often-true content” Combat “vaccine hesitancy.”
