Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old accused in the slaying of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, has captivated the attention of social media, late-night shows, and online commentators as a “smouldering Italian American” sex symbol.

ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel shared in a monologue Tuesday night that his staff had a crush on the “hot” suspected murderer.

“So many women and so many men are going nuts over how good looking this killer is. There’s a huge wave of horny washing over us right now,” Kimmel said as he began his monologue.

“‘Please tell me you’re as obsessed as I am with this handsome CEO killer,’” Kimmel said as he read a text from a staffer.

He added another text message: “The recipient replied, ‘Yes!! So many questions,’ to which the sender said, “Like, ‘Can I fix you?’”

“‘I need him so bad. No like so bad, so so bad.’” the ABC host said, sharing another staff member text and then the text reply, “The other anonymous texter replied, ‘OK, so I would visit him in prison, and bake him cookies maybe. Perhaps more but I haven’t thought that far ahead.’”

CNN anchor Kasie Hunt was covering the latest news on the CEO murder suspect and when the photo of a shirtless and chiseled Mangione appeared on the screen, she encouraged the control room to drop the show banner so they could see all of him.

“The man accused of killing UnitedHealthCare’s CEO going viral. Images of Luigi Mangione seem to captivate the attention of online masses,” Hunt said.

“It is deeply troubling that we are celebrating this person who’s committed cold-blooded murder because, you know, he clearly went to the gym,” CNN contributor Kate Bedingfield said.

“You know, we got to drop the banner to show why,” Hunt gawked which then led to the control room dropping the CNN banner that covered Mangione’s shirtless six-pack abs.

Daily Mail columnist Clara Gaspar gushed that “many women (including me) are captivated by the ‘hot assassin.’”

“Unbelievable. Would women drooling over this deranged murderer feel so ‘captivated by the hot assassin’ if he’d executed a female executive?” television personality Piers Morgan said on X reacting to the Daily Mail columnist.

During an episode of “The Bulwark” podcast, Tim Miller discussed the “over the top” reactions to the attractive assassin.

“There’s a lot to unpack here, including his six-pack, would be among the things you need to unpack,” Miller said. “He’s a very attractive man, and there are a lot of texts about that … He’s blowing up on the gay group chats. The gay group chats are on fire right now.”

“I’ve received several texts from people trying to get me to admit that I am attracted to the shooter. I have to just say, not exactly my type,” Miller added. “I mean, objectively handsome. Not exactly my type, yeah. In that category, the Boston Marathon bomber was a little bit more my wheelhouse.”

The Ivy League tech graduate from a wealthy Maryland family was detained in Pennsylvania. Police say he was found with a ghost gun, bullets, fake IDs, cash and a handwritten “manifesto”.
