Charlamagne tha God wishes CNN had more people like Scott Jennings
In a recent episode of the podcast “Brilliant Idiots,” radio host Charlamagne tha God expressed his admiration for conservative commentator Scott Jennings, stating he wishes CNN had more individuals like him. Charlamagne highlighted Jennings for his genuine approach on the network, particularly on the show “NewsNight With Abby Phillip,” which he finds entertaining due to its chaotic debates between conservatives and liberals. He appreciates that Jennings provides thoughtful discourse rather than simply causing conflict, a criticism he levied at some other conservative pundits. Charlamagne noted Jennings’ capacity to address serious issues with integrity, marking him as a standout voice on CNN amidst the prevalent partisanship in media debates.

Radio host and podcaster Charlamagne tha God said Saturday that he wished CNN had more people like conservative commentator Scott Jennings.
“I wish they had more people like Scott Jennings,” Charlamagne told co-host Andrew Schulz on a recent episode of the Brilliant Idiots podcast, “‘Cause I feel like Scott Jennings really, really, does take it serious.
“You know, even though, he holds his side down.”

CNN’s NewsNight With Abby Phillip, which features Jennings, is Charlamagne’s favorite show because of “chaos,” he said.
“The chaos that ensues on Abby Philip’s show every night is very entertaining,” Charlamagne said. “Fox does it when they have Jessica Tarlov on the panel, but they, on CNN, actually pair up two or three conservatives with two or three liberals, and they throw topics out there.”
The debates that arise from the topics are entertaining, and Jennings represents a departure from the traditional conservative pundits that CNN brings on, Charlamagne said.
“I think a lot of times they have Republicans on here who are just there just to throw grenades,” he said. “Just to cause conflict, but … I think Scott actually gives a f*** a little bit, you know what I mean? A lot a bit actually.”
From battling left-wing pundits on diversity, equity, and inclusion to calling out the “radical political” prosecution of now-acquitted Daniel Penny, Jennings has some of the most viral moments on CNN in most recent memory.
His most recent viral moment came while highlighting the hypocrisy of Democrats who want Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to resign in the wake of the Signal scandal but made no such calls after the withdrawal from Afghanistan that left 13 U.S. service members dead during the tenure of former Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.

“The bar for firing people like this is really high from the last administration when after the Afghanistan withdrawal, which was a disaster, people died, no accountability,” Jennings said. “After the secretary of defense went AWOL, no accountability.
“Did a single Democrat ask for his resignation?”
