Chiefs Star QB Praises God, Wife, And Kids After Scoring NFL Top Honor
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes praised God, his wife, and their two kids after he scored the NFL’s top honor as the league’s Most Valuable Player for 2022.
During the Kansas City star’s Thursday night’s acceptance speech was a testimony to Mahomes’ faith as he thanked God that he had given him the support to realize his dream of playing for the NFL.
“First, I want to thank God for giving me this platform and putting so many amazing people around me to help support this dream I’ve had since I was a little kid,” Super Bowl winning quarterback Share. “Without him, none of this would be possible.”

“To my wife Brittany, my baby girl Sterling and my son Bronze, this crazy life that we are living means nothing without y’all,” he added. “Keeping me balanced and making me appreciate every single day.”
“No matter how I feel coming home, y’all bring me joy and make me appreciate the time I get to spend with y’all,” Mahomes continued. “Thank you for always being there for me through my good times and my bad. Love y’all.”
The Chiefs player then took time to thank his family “for supporting me every day and telling me since I was a little kid to follow my dreams.” He closed out his speech by thanking the entire Kansas City organization and his teammates.
Mahomes accepted the honor via video from Arizona as the AFC champions are days away from taking the field in Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona, against the Philadelphia Eagles. It’s the second time he’s taken home the MVP honor. He previously got it in 2018.
The Chiefs quarterback recently discussed Christianity with reporters at a Super Bowl event on Monday, as previously reported.
“My Christian faith plays a role in everything that I do,” Mahomes revealed.
“I mean, I always ask God to lead me in the right direction and let me be who I am for His name,” he added. “Obviously it will be on a huge stage in the Super Bowl that He’s given me and I want to make sure I’m glorifying Him while I do it.”
