China Threatens Vague “Countermeasures” Against U.S. in Retaliation for Shot Down Spy Balloon
The People’s Republic of China Wednesday threatened to take legal action against U.S. agencies that destroyed and recovered one of its surveillance balloons.
Wang Wenbin, spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs made the vague threat during an interview.

“China firmly opposes this and will take countermeasures in accordance with the law against the relevant U.S. entities that undermine China’s sovereignty and security,” Wang.
