Chris Christie suggests D.C. jury may treat Donald Trump fairly.
Presidential hopeful Chris Christie believes in a fair trial for Donald Trump
During an appearance on CNN’s State of the Union Sunday, former United States Attorney in New Jersey, Chris Christie, expressed his belief that a Washington, D.C. jury will give former President Donald Trump a fair trial. Christie, who has firsthand experience in the legal system, stated that he has faith in the American people and their ability to be fair jurors.

When questioned about the overwhelming support for Biden in Washington, D.C. during the 2020 election, Christie remained steadfast in his belief that jurors can set aside their partisanship and politics to focus on the evidence presented. Drawing from his own experience as a U.S. attorney, Christie highlighted the successful prosecution of 130 political corruption cases during his tenure, all of which withstood appeal.
“Those who doubt the fairness of jurors are individuals who only believe in themselves, like Donald Trump, and not in the American people,” Christie asserted.
Trump currently faces multiple indictments, ranging from mishandling classified documents to alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. He recently pleaded not guilty to his most recent charges.
