Chris Christie Lands in NH With His Potential Bid for the Presidency
At an appearance he made as part of his” maybe” presidential campaign, Chris Christie briefly discussed establishing means testing and raising the minimum age to receive social security. This was clearly in tune with a group of New Hampshire residents.
The former Democratic governor of New Jersey stated that he supported term limits for Congress, the need for the United States to support Ukraine against Russian encroachment, reaffirmed his pro-life views of the nation, and touched on like metaphorical key matters as preventing drugs from crossing the border from Mexico and ending friendly relations with China in a number of scenarios that depicted his options if elected to the White House.
Christie held everything back in criticizing both former President Donald Trump and active President Joe Biden in proving the pretty obvious reason why he had returned to the First In The Nation Primary State since his unsuccessful 2016 pay for a secondary win.
Christie began his about two-hour speech at St. Anselm College’s Institute of Politics by calling Biden a mockery of the position of world leader and pointing out the presidents’ ramblings about his favorite ice cream-flavored chocolate chip in response to the tragic shooting that had just taken place at the Nashville Presbyterian school. At times, this speech sounded more like an act of political standup comedy than anything else.
Christie remarked,” No joke ,” before launching into additional criticism of Biden for using the shooting, which resulted in the deaths of three young children and three adult school staff members, as a propaganda tool to advance gun control.
Christie cited the young woman who is thought to be the shooter as an illustration of a nation plagued by resentment and mental illness, which politicians are basically addressing by calling for harsher punishments for offenders rather than reforming their root causes.
Clapping erupted when he warned that Trump was contributing to America’s and crisis and explained away his once-steadfast support for the MAGA chairman by claiming that doing so in 2016 after losing his own presidential bid was a tactical error.
Christie remarked,” We all made a strategic error in 2016 supporting Trump ,” as one man yelled in the audience, forgiving Christie for doing so. Christie criticized Trump for putting his own need for self-revengement ahead of America’s need.
Christie claimed that Biden’s election was solely motivated by the Republicans’ selection of” such a good candidate ,” alluding to his own position as the most well-liked Democratic governor in an extremely Democratic state to demonstrate that Republicans can defeat Democrats” with the right candidate.”
He used unsuccessful Georgia Senate nominee Herschel Walker and constitutionally dubious Arizona governor Kari Lake to illustrate his point that Republicans need to realm better candidates.
Christie pleaded,” Can we please never name Kari Lake for anything again, and may we Certain not designate Herschel Walker again.”
Christie criticized DeSantis for believing that Ukraine was a regional dispute that the United States should not be involved in, leaving some stones uncovered in establishing himself as the best choice out of the growing list of potential GOP nominees should he go.
Did someone kindly made a wake-up face to Tallahassee when you receive your property study and learn that the neighbor’s fence is six inches on your land? he asked.
Christie argued that supporting Ukraine is a financial investment for the United States, arguing that if it doesn’t stand up to Russia’s autocratic causes, the Kremlin and its allies will be given the go-ahead to seize control of significant portions of its territory, which would negatively affect its business and international trades.
He also discredited DeSantis for claiming that America has no desire to join proxy wars with China and that, if elected president, his top priority would be to prevent China from carrying out what he described as an apparent tale to establish himself as the world’s highest ruler.
He declared,” I don’t want to live in a world where America is not the world’s leader.”
Former Vice President Mike Pence, who is also thinking about running for president, received condemnation from Christie as well.
Christie claimed that Pence lacked the leadership necessary to protect the U.S. Constitution when the former vice president responded to a question about Trump’s conviction that the election was stolen by saying,” Let the people choose.”
Christie emphasized that any proposal to” dismiss the U. S. Constitution” may be” disqualifying” for a presidential candidate, saying,” Hell, I’ll answer that question.”
