On Tuesday,‌ the former New Jersey Governor (R-N.J.) said that he ‌would first need to discuss the idea with his wife.

“It’d be a long conversation between me‍ and ‌Mary Pat, I can guarantee you that,” Christie said.

Christie believes that third-party candidates have a real chance of making a difference in the 2024 presidential election. He expressed frustration ⁢with ⁣other ⁤GOP contenders ⁢for‌ not taking a stand against former President Donald Trump.

“We have so many people in our party who complain about Donald Trump, but none of them are willing to do the hard work that needs to be done to rid our party and our ⁣country ‌of him,” he said.

Christie also predicted that Trump would accept the Republican nomination in July, despite potentially being a convicted ⁣felon.

“If the Senate had done its job in‍ January of 2021 and convicted him, which, I believe he’ll ⁢be convicted by a jury of‍ his⁤ peers for⁣ that conduct … my guess is ‍that he will be – more likely than not – a convicted⁢ felon when he gets up on the stage at the nominating convention,” Christie stated.

“What it says to the largest ⁤debate audience we were ever going to ‍have during ⁢the primary is his conduct is normal,” Christie explained. “Six of these ⁢eight candidates who⁣ were ⁢running against him say it’s okay, so how do you expect voters to think ‌it’s not okay?”

Christie admitted that endorsing Trump in 2016 was a⁢ mistake and vowed not to repeat it. He believes ⁣that⁣ candidates who are not affiliated with any political party, like himself, can bring about meaningful change.

“It was the ‍biggest mistake I’ve made‌ in my political career,⁣ and I’m⁤ just not going to repeat⁢ that mistake for anybody,” ‌he asserted.

Christie, a Republican, stated that he would⁤ first need to discuss the idea with ‍his wife before making a‍ final decision.

Speaking on the matter,‌ Christie ‍expressed his frustration with other GOP ⁢contenders who he feels have failed to take a stand against former‌ President Donald ⁣Trump. “We have so many people in our party‌ who complain⁤ about⁢ Donald Trump, but ‌none ‌of them are ⁢willing to do the hard work that needs to be ‌done to rid our party and our country of‍ him,” Christie said.

Christie also predicted that Trump would ⁢accept the ‌Republican nomination in July, despite the possibility⁢ of being a convicted felon. “If the Senate had done its job in January of 2021 and convicted him, which, I believe he’ll be convicted by a jury of his peers for that conduct…my ⁣guess is that he will be – more likely than not⁣ – a convicted felon when he gets up on the stage at the ⁤nominating convention,”⁢ Christie stated.

The former governor believes that his endorsement of ⁣Trump ‍in 2016 was a mistake and has vowed ‍not to repeat it. ‌He⁣ sees ⁣third-party candidates, like himself, as the catalyst for meaningful⁤ change in ⁢the political landscape. “It ⁤was the biggest mistake I’ve made in my political career, and I’m just not ⁢going‌ to repeat that mistake for anybody,” he asserted.

While ⁢the idea of a third-party presidential run by Chris Christie may come as a⁣ surprise, it⁢ reflects the growing dissatisfaction within⁤ the Republican party towards the direction taken by former President Trump. Christie’s consideration of such a run indicates a⁣ belief ‌that he can make a⁤ difference and provide an alternative choice for ⁤voters in the upcoming election.

As discussions about potential third-party candidates continue, it will be interesting to see how ⁢the political landscape evolves leading up to the 2024 election. Christie’s entry into the ⁢race could inject new perspectives⁢ and ideas into the political ⁣discourse, challenging the⁢ dominance of the two major parties and potentially shaping the ⁢future of American politics.

In conclusion, Chris Christie’s announcement of considering a third-party presidential run‌ in 2024 highlights the growing frustration ⁤within the Republican party and the⁣ belief that alternative choices can bring about meaningful change. With his vow not to repeat ‌his endorsement of Trump and his criticism of other GOP‌ contenders, Christie aims to⁢ offer a different path for voters and⁤ influence the future direction ⁣of American politics. The evolving political landscape leading up to the election will surely be impacted by his potential candidacy, making‍ the upcoming race even more intriguing for observers and voters alike.
