Christie slams Trump for prioritizing golf over classified document handover.
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie Takes a Swing at Trump’s Mishandling of Classified Documents
The latest indictment against former President Donald Trump has sparked a fiery response from former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. In a bold move, Christie’s Tell It Like It Is PAC released an attack ad targeting Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents, firmly establishing Christie as one of the most vocal Republicans opposing Trump.
“Donald Trump had a choice: comply with the federal grand jury‘s subpoena… or play golf,” the narrator declared in the ad. “He chose golf.”
The ad cleverly juxtaposed footage of Trump playing golf with discussions about the case, leaving viewers with a powerful visual representation of Trump’s priorities. Christie himself appeared in the ad, mocking Trump’s actions and questioning the credibility of his choices.
“Maybe he could have skipped a couple of rounds of golf and gone through the boxes to respond to a subpoena from a grand jury,” Christie quipped. “I mean, does anybody in America believe this? The problem for Donald Trump in all of this is his own conduct. He’s his own worst enemy.”
The ad concluded with a striking image of Trump on the golf course, accompanied by the text, “He chose golf.” This final message left a lasting impression on viewers, highlighting Trump’s alleged disregard for the seriousness of the situation.
Christie’s Battle Against Trump
Since launching his campaign earlier this month, Christie has positioned himself as the only candidate capable of taking on Trump. He has stayed true to his promise by launching relentless attacks against the former president.
However, Christie faces an uphill battle. According to a recent Emerson College poll, he currently stands at just 2% support, while Trump maintains a commanding lead with 59%.
Despite the odds, Christie remains undeterred in his mission to challenge Trump’s actions and hold him accountable for his alleged mishandling of classified documents.
