DNC’s Carbon Emissions: Trolling GOP Debate with Climate Crisis Watch

Dems Pay to Fly Private ‌Plane ⁤Displaying⁣ ‘Extreme MAGA’ Banner ⁢in Circles ‌Around Milwaukee

The Democratic National Committee is making a bold​ statement by paying ⁤to fly⁣ a​ private⁤ plane in circles around Milwaukee during the Republican debate⁤ on Wednesday. This attention-grabbing stunt will emit nearly four times as much carbon as the average American ⁤produces in a day, according to a Washington Free⁤ Beacon analysis.

The DNC’s plane will proudly display ​a banner that reads, ⁢”GOP 2024: A Race for the⁣ Extreme MAGA ⁣Base,” as‌ reported by Politico. The plane being used, a Cessna 172, is typically used for banner‍ towing and emits ‍approximately⁢ 165 pounds of carbon per hour, according to estimates. Assuming the DNC plane circles⁣ Milwaukee for ⁢the two-hour debate, it will ‍emit roughly 331‌ pounds of carbon. To put ‍this into perspective, the average American produces ​ around​ 88 pounds of carbon per day. This means⁣ that it would take the average ​person nearly four days to ‍match the ⁣carbon pollution caused by the ⁤DNC plane.

This stunt is in stark contrast to the ​DNC’s supposed efforts to combat the climate crisis and pursue environmental justice. The DNC’s climate policy platform acknowledges climate change​ as a “global emergency” ⁤that has claimed⁤ “thousands ‍of American lives.” It also highlights the disproportionate impact of “air pollution” on “communities of ⁢color.” Interestingly, ‍nearly ‍70 percent of Wisconsin’s black population resides in Milwaukee County, and the city itself is considered majority-minority.

“We have no time to waste in taking action to ⁤protect Americans’ lives and​ futures,” states the DNC’s climate platform.⁣ “Although the youngest generations ⁣of Americans have contributed the least to this calamity, they stand to lose ⁤the most as they suffer from the impacts of⁢ runaway carbon pollution for decades to come. Democrats believe ‍there​ is a better way.”

According to Daniel Turner, the founder and executive director of energy advocacy group‍ Power the Future,⁣ the ⁢DNC’s “childish antics” expose the hypocrisy of the green agenda.

“They are emitting emissions over​ minority neighborhoods, which is ⁢something ⁣they would oppose if anyone else did it, but they’re allowed to do it⁤ because they’re playing politics,” Turner told the Free Beacon. “It’s just⁢ pure stupidity and childish ​behavior, and it’s totally unsurprising.”

The DNC has chosen⁣ not to respond to questions regarding the plane and⁣ its specifications. In addition to the plane, the DNC has also booked a “mobile billboard” that will circulate the streets of Milwaukee near the debate venue. It ⁢is worth noting that the Biden administration has proposed measures to limit tailpipe emissions, and President Joe Biden himself emphasized his efforts to combat “the existential threat of climate change” during ​a speech in Milwaukee on August 15.

Eight Republicans will take the stage⁢ in Milwaukee on Wednesday night, ⁣including Florida governor Ron DeSantis, anti-woke activist Vivek Ramaswamy, ⁢South Carolina senator Tim Scott, and former United Nations ⁤ambassador Nikki Haley. Former president Donald Trump will not be participating.
