Closing Prices for Crude Oil, Gold and Other Commodities (Mar. 3)
The price of benchmark U.S. crude oil in April delivery rose $1.52 per barrel to $79.68 per barrel on Friday. Brent crude oil rose $1.08 a barrel to $85.83 for May delivery.
April wholesale gasoline delivery increased 5 cents to $2.75 per gallon. April heating oil increased 4 cents to $2.91 per gallon. April natural gas increased 24 cents to $3.01 for 1,000 cubic feet.
April delivery of gold saw a $14.10 increase to $1,854.60 per ounce. Silver for May delivery rose 34ccs to $21.24 per ounce. May copper fell 1c to $4.07 per pound.
The dollar fell to 135.85 Japanese dollars from 136.76. The euro rose from $1.0590 to $1.0634.
