Other drugs discovered in White House, Secret Service confirms.

White House Discovers Marijuana and Cocaine

The United States Secret Service (USSS) recently made an interesting discovery in the White House. Alongside cocaine, marijuana was found in the building twice in 2022, according to an agency spokesperson.

The USSS spokesperson confirmed to The Epoch Times that “small amounts of marijuana were found on two occasions in 2022 (June and September).” However, no arrests were made as the confiscated marijuana did not meet the legal threshold for federal or DC misdemeanor charges.

It’s worth noting that possession of any amount of marijuana, even for personal use, is considered a Class A misdemeanor under federal law, carrying a penalty of up to a year in jail or a $1,000 fine.

The discovery of marijuana in the White House followed the earlier revelation that cocaine had been found in a high-security wing of the building. Agents uncovered a white, powdery substance, which was later confirmed to be cocaine after an investigation.

Investigation into Cocaine Ends Without Conclusions

In a press statement, the USSS announced the closure of the investigation into the cocaine discovery. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) conducted forensic testing on the substance and packaging, but no conclusive evidence was found regarding its source.

The USSS conducted a thorough review of security systems and protocols, examining several days leading up to the discovery. They identified a pool of individuals who may have accessed the area where the cocaine was found, but insufficient DNA and latent fingerprints hindered further investigation.

Despite the lack of physical evidence and surveillance footage, the USSS closed the investigation due to the inability to single out a person of interest from the hundreds of individuals who passed through the area.

Congressional Probe Unlikely

After a closed-door meeting, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) expressed doubt about the possibility of a congressional probe into the matter. She stated, “I don’t see [the investigation] moving forward in any way, shape, or form after this.”
