Colin Kaepernick Grovels to NFL – Says He’s “Fine” Even with Playing Backup Quarterback
The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick compared the NFL to slavery last fall in his Netflix docuseries “Colin In Black & White.” Now he’s singing a different tune, as he’s practically groveling to the NFL and begging them to take him back.
Check out what Kaepernick said about the NFL last fall:
In the space of six months, Kaepernick has gone from arguing the NFL is slavery to begging to be let back on the plantation. Watch this video & tell me this guy isn’t the biggest fraud in sports history. (Video via women’s studies scholar @MattWalshBlog) pic.twitter.com/b9RVBV0oFy

Kaepernick Grovels To NFL
In an interview with former NFL stars Chad Johnson, Adam “Pacman” Jones, and Brandon Marshall on the podcast “I AM ATHLETE,” Kaepernick said that he’s so desperate to return to the NFL that he’d even be willing to sign on as a backup quarterback if it meant he could play professional football again.
“I just need that opportunity to walk through the door,” Kaepernick said, adding that he would be willing to do what Carmelo Anthony did in the NBA. TMZ reported that Anthony signed for the veteran’s minimum, which is about $2.6 million, with the Los Angeles Lakers to play a minimized role with the team.

“I know I have to find my way back in. So, if I have to come in as a backup, that’s fine,” Kaepernick said. “But that’s not where I’m staying. And when I prove that I’m a starter, I want to be able to step on the field as such. I just need that opportunity to walk through the door.”

Kaepernick’s NFL History
Kaepernick hasn’t played in the NFL since 2016 when he became infamous in the eyes of many Americans for taking a knee during the national anthem before games. Though he claimed that he was doing this to protest racial inequality in America, many saw it as a sign of disrespect towards the American flag and those who have fought and died for it.
Liberals love to portray Kaepernick as a martyr who has not been re-signed by another team in over five years because the NFL is “racist.” Others, however, have pointed out that Kaepernick led the 49ers to an abysmal losing record during his final season with the team, so it’s likely his lack of football talent that has made him unsignable.
Kaepernick Claims He Still Has ‘Dreams’ About Playing In NFL
Daily Mail reported that though Kaepernick was comparing the NFL to slavery as recently as last fall, he claimed in his latest interview that he still has “dreams” about playing in the league.
“I’ve had that dreams since I was a kid. I’m going to be an NFL player – and win the Super Bowl,” he said. “For me, I’ve got unfinished business on that front.”
Whether he’s shaming the NFL or shaming America at large, Kaepernick has spent years attacking the values of football fans. Here’s hoping that NFL teams see through this nonsense, and leave Kaepernick in retirement where he belongs.
