Colin Kaepernick Workout Partner Says “At Least” 5 NFL Teams Have Expressed Interest

A renowned football trainer who has worked with some of the best in the NFL is speaking out this week to claim that “at least” five teams have inquired about former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

NFL Teams Allegedly Inquiring About Colin Kaepernick

Football trainer David Robinson told TMZ that multiple teams have reached out to him since he helped run a training session for Kaepernick earlier this month in Dallas, Texas.

“A few teams have reached out to me and asked how his arm looked,” Robinson said. “They have reached out and asked about him.”

Robinson declined to give any information on which specific teams had reached out to him. Check out some clips from that training session in the video below.

NFL teams expressing interest in Kaepernick now is a bit surprising, given the fact that the 34 year-old has not played in the league since 2016, when he began taking a knee during the national anthem before games.

Though Kaepernick claimed to be doing this to protest against racial inequality in America, many saw this as a clear sign of disrespect to the American flag and those who have fought and died for it.

Liberals have propped Kaepernick up as a “woke” martyr of sorts, claiming that he has not been signed by another NFL team in the years since then because the league is “racist.”

Others, however, point to the 49ers abysmal losing record during Kaepernick’s final year with the team, suggesting his own lack of football ability could be the reason why he wasn’t signed again.

Robinson Thinks Kaepernick ‘May Get A Shot’

Despite this, Robinson is claiming that Kaepernick is still a talented football player, alleging that he has “a cannon” for an arm. After seeing five teams express interest in Kaepernick, Robinson appeared to be confidant that he may end up on another team very soon.

“I definitely think that this go-around, he may get a shot,” he concluded.

Sounds like he’s come a long way since his infamous 2019 workout. Remember this?

Since leaving the NFL, Kaepernick has made millions off his platform decrying racism in the United States. His social justice platform has scored him lucrative deals with Nike and Netflix, among other big brands.

Heck, Nike even a marketed a shoe honoring the first time Colin Kaepernick took a knee in the NFL.

There remains much debate as to whether Colin Kaepernick is some kind of victim.

Some say his activism cost him an NFL spot. Some say he’s the kind of guy who’s willing to throw his own country under the bus for his own personal gain.

Others have a hard time understanding why he’d want to return to the NFL at all given his comparison of the player selection process to slave auctions.

Both sides will soon learn which direction the tide is shifting.
