FBI Veteran Validates Crucial Whistleblower Claims in Hunter Biden Case, Comer Reveals
A Former FBI Agent Confirms Key Aspects of Whistleblower Testimony on Hunter Biden Investigation
A former FBI supervisory agent has confirmed important details regarding the federal investigation of Hunter Biden, according to House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY). Comer stated that the FBI veteran participated in a transcribed interview with his panel, shedding light on the inquiry just days before a pair of Internal Revenue Service whistleblowers are set to testify.
Comer said, ”Today, a former FBI supervisory special agent assigned to the FBI’s Wilmington office and the Biden criminal investigation confirmed key portions of the IRS whistleblower’s testimony.”
According to Comer, the interview with Hunter Biden was disrupted due to a tip-off to both Secret Service headquarters and the Biden transition team. Federal agents were instructed to wait for Hunter Biden’s call and were unable to approach him. As a result, the IRS and FBI investigators were unable to interview him as part of the investigation.
These claims align with testimony from IRS officials and whistleblowers, revealing a potential interference in the investigation. The allegations raise concerns that the Department of Justice may have delayed the investigation for political reasons, allowing the statute of limitations to expire on more serious charges.
Comer shared a list of key takeaways from the interview:
- Multiple witness interviews were planned for December 8, 2020, as part of the criminal investigation into Hunter Biden.
- FBI headquarters and the Biden transition team were notified about the planned interview, which was not the original plan by the career agents.
- Agents were not allowed to approach Hunter Biden’s house and had to wait for him to contact them.
- The former FBI supervisory special agent stated that he had never been told to wait outside to be contacted by a subject of an investigation.
- As a result, Hunter Biden was never interviewed by Shapley and the former FBI supervisory special agent.
The investigation into Hunter Biden has so far resulted in a plea deal for tax and gun violations. However, the whistleblower allegations suggest that more serious charges may have been overlooked due to potential political interference.
Delaware’s U.S. Attorney David Weiss, who leads the inquiry, has the ultimate authority in bringing charges. Attorney General Merrick Garland has confirmed Weiss’s authority. Biden’s attorney, Chris Clark, has dismissed any suggestion of a lack of thoroughness in the investigation.
Comer emphasized that the Justice Department’s attempts to cover up for the Bidens reveal a two-tiered system of justice. The Oversight Committee, along with the Judiciary Committee and Ways and Means Committee, will continue to seek answers, transparency, and accountability.
