Company faces backlash for partnering with woman claiming to be man to promote razor set.
Conservatives Target Harry’s for Controversial Ad Campaign
After the recent controversy surrounding Bud Light’s support of transgenderism, conservatives have now set their sights on Harry’s, a popular maker of men’s personal care products. The company is facing backlash for featuring a woman who identifies as a man in their ad campaign.
The Twitter account “End Wokeness” brought attention to the campaign, criticizing Harry’s for partnering with a “trans man” and donating profits to the Trevor Project, an organization that supports gender surgeries for minors.
The ad, which was launched in June 2022 but gained attention recently, features transgender activist Luke Wesley Pearson endorsing Harry’s razors and shaving cream. In the ad, Pearson discusses their envy of boys going through puberty and learning to shave.

Since undergoing surgeries to transition, Pearson has expressed that having facial hair and a grooming routine is affirming to their gender identity.
End Wokeness also shared a clip of Harry’s CEO Andy Katz-Mayfield referring to mothers as “birthing parents” and fathers as ”non-birthing parents,” sparking further criticism.

Podcaster Matt Walsh, known for his documentary “What Is a Woman?,” called for a boycott of Harry’s, accusing the company of glamorizing self-mutilation to sell razors.
Harry’s glamorizes self-mutilation in an effort to sell razors. If you still buy products from this company this is what you are directly supporting. We’ve taken down Bud Light. Now it’s Harry’s turn. https://t.co/n7BmwopQQL

Many Twitter users joined the call to boycott Harry’s, expressing frustration with woke corporations pushing left-wing propaganda.
Give them the Bud Light treatment!

Some consumers expressed disappointment that wokeism is interfering with their product choices.
Nooo I really liked these razors time to find another brand

I left Gillette for Harry’s because of stuff like this. Time for a new brand. Soon I’ll be shaving with knife because all razor companies went crazy.

While Bud Light’s campaign focused on transgenderism, Harry’s ad has drawn criticism for reducing both men and women to caricatures. The ad suggests that shaving facial hair is the sole requirement for being a man, which many find absurd.
As the backlash continues, it remains to be seen how Harry’s will respond to the controversy.
