Conservatives criticize Snow White star’s vow that princess doesn’t need rescuing.
Conservatives Slam Actress Rachel Zegler for Challenging Snow White Stereotypes
Actress Rachel Zegler is facing backlash from conservatives after her recent comments about Disney’s newest Snow White film. In a resurfaced interview that went viral, Zegler boldly declared, “It’s no longer 1937. She’s not gonna be saved by the prince, and she’s not gonna be dreaming about true love.”
A New Vision for Snow White
Zegler’s statement ignited a firestorm of controversy. She explained that her version of Snow White is a strong, independent leader who aspires to fulfill her potential. “She’s dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be and the leader that her late father told her that she could be if she was fearless, fair, brave, and true.”
“Hollywood is programming young girls to hate men. Barbie is anti-male feminist propaganda, and it looks like the new Snow White movie will be more of the same,”
Conservatives are now calling for a boycott of the 2024 Snow White film, following criticism of the recently released Barbie movie for its alleged unfair portrayal of men. One Twitter user expressed their concern, stating, “The far left want to break the nuclear family and they’re succeeding.”
“Disney’s Woke Snow White Furthering The War Against Women! Women can have a Prince Charming and also do well in their careers,”
Another tweet argued, “Women can have a Prince Charming and be a homemaker. Women can be single and do well.”
With over 11.4 million views, the resurfaced interview has sparked intense debate. Some critics question Disney’s decision to embrace a more progressive narrative, citing the company’s recent financial losses. “So Disney has lost 900+ million in their last 8 releases, and they think a woke Snow White story will somehow resonate with Americans?”
As the controversy rages on, it remains to be seen how this new interpretation of Snow White will be received by audiences.
