Crybabies: Kamala Harris’ Staff Is Whining About The Food On Air Force Two

Travelling via Air Force One is an exciting experience where one can be sure of safety, timely takeoffs, and quality food perfectly cooked that is like eating at a four-star restaurant. However, unlike Air Force One, some of the staff who travel with Vice President Kamala Harris on Air Force Two are complaining that they receive poor quality meals, according to an article by Politico.

Politico reports that the Vice President’s staff members complain about being provided with poor quality food such as cold pasta salad, soggy cold-cut sandwiches on white rolls, and bags of chips when travelling. Furthermore, those who travel during the early hours usually receive an egg and spinach breakfast burrito.

In contrast, The Telegraph reports that President Joe Biden’s counterparts receive filet mignon and other hot specialties served on gold-rimmed plates accompanied by cold beers. The Vice President’s staff feels like they are not receiving the same treatment as President Biden’s staff, with one of them describing the food on Air Force Two as “horrible slop.” They have also complained that they cannot get booze while onboard.

Despite their complaints, one should note that travelling around the world on private planes on taxpayer-paid trips while moaning about the food is quite unreasonable. It is said that when people travel, some pack snacks, while others pick up lunch or dinner at a local restaurant before continuing their journey whatever way they can.

Working for the Vice President of the United States may not be the most favorable job, and John Nance Garner once said that the role “isn’t worth a pitcher of warm piss.” As the vice president’s office always works around the edges, they operate in the shadows of the president, undertaking tasks that are not always the best. It is like being a minor league baseball player who carries their bags, travels using a bus, and stays in crummy hotels. So the staff of the vice president understands that they tend to get the short end of the stick most of the time.

Air Force One passengers pay for their food while Air Force Two passengers eat for free. The cost of the meals on Air Force One could accumulate to about $1,000 a year, and in comparison to the junior staffers’ salaries, it is quite hard to pay off. Despite this, the food’s quality is still “truly incredible” and worth the price.
