D.C. Gun Ban Didn’t Stop A Deadly Metro Shooting, Just Stripped Commuters Of The Best Way To Fight Back

The Metro, which is Washington, D.C.’s subway, is a gun-free zone where even concealed carry permit holders cannot carry their weapons. But, the law didn’t stop a man carrying an illegal gun shooting three people and one elderly man at a D.C. Metro station last week during morning rush hour. The rampage was stopped by unarmed citizens who confronted him, threw the gun onto the tracks and held him on the platform, until police arrived. 

Isaiah Trotman (31), was Arrest He was charged with first-degree murder. Robert Cunningham (64-year-old Metro mechanic, who tried to protect a woman being attacked) was allegedly murdered by him.
