Dan Patrick criticizes Biden’s border visit as belated and accuses him of lacking compassion
Texas Republican Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick Slams Biden’s Border Visit as Political Maneuver
President Joe Biden’s upcoming visit to the southern border has been criticized by Texas Republican Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick as a mere political move aimed at securing votes for the future.
Biden is scheduled to visit Brownsville, Texas, on Thursday, while former President Donald Trump will be in the border city of Eagle Pass, approximately 325 miles away.
Patrick expressed his disappointment in Biden’s lack of attention to the border crisis, which has witnessed over 10 million immigrants entering the country illegally since the start of Biden’s presidency in 2021. This is the highest number recorded during the same period by any administration.
“He obviously has a cold heart,”
Patrick stated during an appearance on America Reports. “He’s got a cold heart for all of these deaths that he’s seen over these years.”
The recent tragic death of 22-year-old University of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, allegedly killed by an illegal immigrant, has further highlighted the contribution of the border crisis to rising crime.
Since March 2021, Texas has been implementing Operation Lone Star, its own initiative to secure the border. This operation has resulted in the seizure of over 454 million lethal doses of fentanyl.
“I don’t know how he looks in the mirror,”
Patrick added. “And he’s coming to Brownsville on Thursday. Like, thank you for showing up now after all these people have died.”
Patrick believes that Biden’s lack of concern stems from his focus on the future of politics. He claims that the administration wants millions of immigrants to enter the country, become citizens, and eventually voters, in order to gain control over the nation.

According to a recent Monmouth University poll, for the first time, a majority of Americans support the construction of a border wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. The poll shows that 53% of respondents are in favor of the wall, while 46% oppose it.
“I’m fed up. The governor is fed up. The people are fed up. And America’s fed up,”
Patrick declared, addressing the public directly. “In November, you better elect a Republican to the White House because if you continue with Joe Biden or Kamala Harris, or whoever they put up, this will continue. Donald Trump will get it done. We will close the border, but we can do it sooner if the Supreme Court will let us.”
What are the consequences of the lack of control at the border on security and the rule of law?
Ick stated in an interview with Fox News. “His administration’s policies have caused this crisis, and now he’s just trying to save face. It’s clearly a political maneuver to appease the American people and gain their support, but it’s too little, too late.”
Biden’s visit comes at a time when the border crisis has reached alarming levels. The influx of immigrants, many unaccompanied minors, has overwhelmed detention centers and put a strain on resources. Reports of overcrowded facilities and inhumane conditions have surfaced, further exacerbating the crisis.
Patrick emphasized the urgent need for stricter immigration policies, condemning the Biden administration’s approach as weak and ineffective. He argues that the lack of control at the border poses serious security risks and undermines the rule of law.
Furthermore, Patrick voiced his concern over the impact of illegal immigration on the Texas economy. He highlighted the strain on healthcare and education systems, as well as the burden on taxpayers.
“Texas is bearing the brunt of this crisis,”
Patrick said. “We are a border state, and the consequences of the Biden administration’s failures are being felt by our citizens. It’s time for the federal government to take responsibility and secure our borders.”
Patrick’s comments echo the sentiments of many Republicans, who criticize Biden’s immigration policies as being too lenient. They argue that these policies incentivize illegal immigration and undermine the integrity of the immigration system.
In contrast, Biden has defended his administration’s approach, emphasizing the need for a more humane and compassionate policy towards immigrants. He has called for comprehensive immigration reform and criticized the previous administration’s “zero tolerance” policy, which resulted in family separations at the border.
As the debate on immigration continues, the visit of President Biden to the southern border will undoubtedly draw attention. Critics like Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick argue that it is merely a political move, while others see it as a necessary step to address the border crisis and find long-term solutions. Regardless of one’s viewpoint, the border crisis remains a pressing issue that requires immediate attention and effective action.
