The friendship between DeVito and 76-year-old Schwarzenegger predates their professional ventures. DeVito humorously mentioned, “Not at the gym, because I don’t go,” hinting at the contrast in their fitness routines. “Arnold and I want to work together,” DeVito shared with GQ in a November 2023 interview. “We missed Twins 2, because he became governor — which, he should have done ‘Twins 2’ instead,” he quipped. DeVito teased the current collaboration as “a little project that we’ve been chatting about,” adding with his trademark humor, “I am way stronger than he is.”
