“Days of Our Lives” Actor Cody Longo Dead at 34

Actor Cody Longo, who starred in NBC’s daytime drama series Days of Our Lives and Nickelodeon’s high school series Hollywood HeightsMultiple reports claim that he has died at 34.

The actor’s representative, Alex Gittelson, Telled The Hollywood Reporter Longo, who was in Austin, Texas while he slept, died before his body could be found on Wednesday. There has not been an official cause of death.

TMZ reported Longo’s wife, Stephanie, was at work at a local dance studio and called the police when she couldn’t reach him. The police knocked on their doors and found Longo’s body in bed.

“Cody was our whole world,” In a statement, his wife said. “The kids and I are shattered and beyond devastated. He was the best dad and best father. We will always and forever miss you and love you.”

Cody Longo was the rock star Eddie Duran’s backup singer in Hollywood HeightsThe episode aired on Teen Nick and Nick at Nite. He was also a regular character on Teen Nick. Days of Our Lives.

Other credits include roles in ABC’s series Nashville and  the 2009 movie reboot of Fame.

According to family members, Longo was a long-term victim of alcohol abuse and was currently in rehabilitation according to TMZ.
