IThere are many other ways to enjoy the cherry blossoms in Washington, D.C., besides walking the Tidal Basin. Local businesses participate in the cherry blossom spirit, offering blossoming decorations and themed menus. Here’s a list with some local places to visit in Washington.

Take a bite at Astro’s — the takeaway spot is just blocks away from the White House. Each year they offer a cherry blossom-themed doughnut. The cherry blossom-themed doughnut is filled with tart red cherry jam, topped by cream cheese glaze and decorated with cherry blossom branch details and icing. These rich desserts will satisfy your sweet tooth. However, it’s not known how long they’ll last.
