A Democratic Senator Caught in a COVID Hypocrisy Scandal

In a stunning display ​of hypocrisy, a prominent​ Democratic senator has been caught in a lie from several years ago. Wisconsin’s ​Sen. Tammy Baldwin, who had urged⁢ her constituents to stay home and avoid gatherings during the Thanksgiving holiday in 2020, was found to have taken a personal trip to New York City using taxpayer money.

Back in 2020, when⁤ the ⁣COVID-19 pandemic was at its peak, leftist politicians like Baldwin were adamant about enforcing strict restrictions on the⁤ public. They told us not⁢ to see our families for Thanksgiving and Christmas, ​while they themselves disregarded their own rules and partied with their buddies.

Baldwin had posted a⁤ video on Twitter, urging the people of‌ Wisconsin to stay home and‌ avoid gatherings. She emphasized⁤ the⁣ importance of keeping our families, friends, and frontline healthcare workers safe. ‍Yet, on the same day, she flew from Madison to New York City for a personal vacation⁢ to visit her partner.

She also​ tweeted about the worsening COVID situation and urged Wisconsinites to work together ⁣to contain the virus. ⁢However, while she ordered her constituents to stay home, she was enjoying a personal vacation in New York City.

When questioned about ⁤the use⁣ of taxpayer money for her personal trip, Baldwin’s office claimed it was a filing ⁣error and promptly reimbursed the federal government. However, Republican officials were quick to call out ⁢her blatant hypocrisy.

“Tammy Baldwin should change her campaign slogan to ‘Do as I say, not as I do,'” said Tate Mitchell, spokesman ‍for the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

Not only did Baldwin break her own ‌rules, but she also​ misused taxpayer money to fund her personal⁢ trip. ⁤Although⁣ she eventually reimbursed⁢ the government,‌ it was only after the media exposed her actions, and nearly‍ three years⁤ later.⁣ This misuse of funds is unacceptable,⁤ and she ⁤must be held accountable.

Once again, we witness the‌ left’s mantra of “Do as I say, not as I do” on full display. The hypocrisy displayed ⁣by Baldwin and other Democratic politicians during the COVID era is truly disheartening.
