The mayor of Rochester, New York is facing new criminal charges. This time it’s in connection with her husband’s illegal activity.
In the indictment, which was unsealed Friday, Lovely Warren faces several charges, including criminal possession of a firearm and child endangerment. The charges stem from a police raid on the Democrat’s House in May, where investigators were looking to connect her husband to a local drug ring.
Warren has refused to accept any responsibility for the incident and has denied owning the gun. Additionally, the Democrat claimed she and her husband were separated at the time.
“I have since learned that the gun was registered to my mother-in-law,” she stated. “The facts and the truth is on our side and I am looking forward to being found innocent because I did nothing wrong.”
