Florida Mayor charged with voter fraud.

Florida Mayor Arrested for Voter Fraud

A Democratic mayor in Florida was arrested and charged with three counts of voter fraud, punishable by up to five years in prison.

Anthony DeFillipo, mayor of North Miami Beach, was charged with three third-degree felonies for allegedly voting illegally in three elections. He’s the third mayor of that city to be arrested in 11 years.

DeFillipo didn’t even live in his city, violating the city charter, but he drove to North Miami Beach to vote three times, in August, October, and November, according to the Miami Herald. He reportedly lives in neighboring Davie, where he was recorded in cell phone data driving from home to vote in North Miami Beach.

Breaking the Law

  • DeFillipo violated the city charter by not living in North Miami Beach
  • He drove to the city to vote illegally in three elections

“It wasn’t as if, ‘Oops, I forgot once,’” Miami-Dade state attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said. “This is three times in rapid succession.”

DeFillipo’s attorney Michael Pizzi denied the allegations and said they “look forward to a speedy exoneration.”

This shocking case highlights the importance of upholding the integrity of our elections and ensuring that every vote counts. Let’s work together to defend our democracy and hold those who break the law accountable.
