Watchdog group urges Jordan to rescind RFK Jr’s invitation to testify before weaponization committee.
A Democratic Watchdog Calls for Disinviting Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from Social Media Censorship Hearing
A Democratic watchdog has sent a letter to House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), urging him to disinvite Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a 2024 Democratic presidential candidate, from an upcoming hearing on social media censorship.
The call for disinvitation comes in the wake of a video surfacing in which Kennedy suggests that COVID-19 may have been intentionally targeted at specific ethnicities while sparing others. In the recording, he states, “COVID-19. There is an argument that it is ethnically targeted. COVID-19 attacks certain races disproportionately.” Kennedy goes on to claim that Jewish people are among the groups that are “most immune” to the virus.

In a letter addressed to Chairman Jordan, Kyle Herrig, the Executive Director of the Congressional Integrity Project, expresses concerns about Kennedy’s inclusion in the hearing. Herrig describes Kennedy as a “known conspiracy theorist” whose anti-vaccine views have endangered lives. He also accuses Kennedy of being a Russian propagandist who has taken the side of Putin over Ukraine. Herrig further criticizes Kennedy’s views and conspiracy theories, suggesting that they would be disregarded if not for his famous last name. The letter also highlights the recently surfaced video as evidence of Kennedy’s “horrific antisemitic and xenophobic views.”
Herrig goes on to allege that Kennedy’s views are part of a broader pattern of antisemitism within the House Republicans, including Chairman Jordan.
A spokesperson for Jordan did not respond to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment.

Kennedy is scheduled to testify at the committee’s Thursday hearing, which aims to examine “Big Tech’s collusion with out-of-control government agencies to silence speech.”
In response to the emergence of the video, Kennedy took to Twitter to deny suggesting that COVID-19 was targeted to spare Jews. He clarified that his intention was to highlight COVID-19 as a ”proof of concept for ethnically targeted bioweapons” due to its disproportionate impact on certain races and ethnicities.
