Democrats Protest Trump’s Agenda Because They Hate America

President Donald Trump kicked off his joint address to Congress on Tuesday night by declaring “America is back.” He didn’t get much further in his speech before he was interrupted by a chorus of protests from Democrat members — primarily Rep. Al Green — shouting and waving auction bid-like paddles expressing their dissent.

The leftists had spent the days leading up to the address threatening to disrupt Trump’s speech, so it came as no surprise when they acted on those promises to the point of discipline from Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, his gavel, and even the House Sergeant at Arms.

The verbal interference from the blue party, however, did not phase the commander-in-chief who called out Democrats’ scheming in front of the entire nation.

“This is my fifth such speech to Congress, and once again, I look at the Democrats in front of me and I realize there is absolutely nothing I can say to make them happy or to make them stand or smile or applaud. Nothing I can do,” Trump said.

So far into his second administration, Trump has already accomplished much of what he promised the Americans who elected him. Yet, he recognizes that Democrats will still villify him.

Their contempt, Trump said, would continue even if he achieved impossible feats like finding a “cure to the most devastating disease, a disease that would wipe out entire nations or announce the answers to the greatest economy in history, or the stoppage of crime to the lowest levels ever recorded.”

“And these people sitting right here will not clap, will not stand, and certainly will not cheer for these astronomical achievements. They won’t do it no matter what,” Trump said.

The president didn’t leave it there. Instead, he issued a call to action, inviting the very people protesting his presence in the White House and their chambers to “just this one night … join us in celebrating so many incredible wins for America.”

“For the good of our nation, let’s work together and let’s truly make America great again,” he said.

The grumbling that continued throughout Trump’s speech and the pouts captured on corporate media cameras and broadcasted to Americans who tuned in, however, confirmed that Democrats wholly rejected his offer.

Their behavior is not the least bit surprising given their track record of trying to steal Trump’s State of the Union spotlight. More importantly and unfortunately for Americans who are hopeful their country can survive the constitutional crisis the previous administration thrust it into, their rebuff of Trump’s invitation to unify over the betterment of the nation is also on brand.

Democrats don’t care to see the U.S. survive, much less return to its constitutional roots. They want to see it completely revamped into a progressive hellscape that tells the founding principles that have sustained us for nearly 250 years to take a hike. That’s exactly why they spent the last four years cheering the destruction of our borders, the government-fueled assault on free speech, the perversion of our justice system, and the twisting of reality.

The same party that snubbed Trump’s good faith gesture supports protestors vandalizing cemeteries, blocking highways, and occupying college campuses in the name of “Infitada,” threatens Supreme Court justices who rule against their wishes, fuels the fires and bails out the people who burn the nation’s cities, and tries to change the Constitution with a press release.

On the contrary, the second Trump administration is committed to restoring the nation by bolstering the economy, securing the border, kicking men out of women’s sports, protecting children from indoctrination, rewarding merit over race, and cracking down on crime.

“America’s momentum is back. Our spirit is back. Our pride is back, our confidence is back, and the American Dream is surging bigger and better than ever before,” Trump declared.

The only reason Democrats can kick, scream, and refuse to clap for that and even the most wholesome, least partisan parts of Trump’s agenda is simply because they don’t believe in the America Trump and his voters so dearly love.
