Democrats appoint an inexperienced, corrupt, hyperpartisan Iran supporter to “assist” Israel.

Architects of Barack Obama’s 2015 Iran Giveaway: ⁤Empowering Terrorist Proxies in the Middle East

The architects behind Barack ‌Obama’s 2015 Iran giveaway deserve plenty of ⁣blame for empowering terrorist proxies throughout the Middle East, including the one responsible for the murder of 1,400 Jews and over 30 Americans. At‌ this critical point⁣ in history, they should have no influence over our ‌Israel policy.

But despite‌ this troubling history, we now welcome Jack Lew as our ⁣new ⁣ambassador ⁣to the Jewish State.

During Lew’s confirmation hearing, Sen. Ben Cardin,⁢ the Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations, ludicrously claimed that Lew ‍was ⁣”eminently qualified to serve⁤ in this ⁤post” ‍and had “extensive experience.” However, Lew’s⁣ only experience in ⁣foreign policy is championing pro-Iran policies. In his speech praising ‍Obama’s foreign policy, Lew conveniently failed to⁣ mention the word “Israel” even once.

The Iran deal, which Lew supported, not only⁢ failed to make our country⁣ and allies safer ⁣but also rewarded the Revolutionary Guard for⁢ their acts of terrorism and incentivized the Iranian⁣ regime to take ⁣more American‌ hostages.

Israel’s Safety at Stake

As a result of the Iran deal and subsequent support for Iran, Israel⁤ now has to contend with Iran-funded terrorist groups such as Hamas, Hezbollah,⁢ and⁤ the⁤ Houthis.⁢ These groups pose a significant threat to Israel’s security.

While the Obama administration rarely criticized Iran, they were quick to rebuke ⁤Israeli Prime Minister‌ Benjamin Netanyahu for expressing ⁣concerns about ‌the deal. Lew, due to his Jewish background, was⁣ specifically recruited to publicly⁤ criticize Netanyahu, calling his remarks “beyond the ⁢pale.” Now, Lew ⁤is being sent to pressure Netanyahu into letting ‍Hamas off ⁣the hook.

Furthermore, as Treasury Secretary, ⁢Lew oversaw the transfer of $400 million in ⁤cash to the Iranian regime. Instead of using these funds to compensate American terror victims, Lew sent the ‌money to Ali Khamenei, ‌the Supreme Leader of Iran.

But it doesn’t ‍end there. Lew secretly helped ⁣Iranians convert‍ nearly $6 billion into⁤ dollars and euros, despite telling Congress that the mullahs wouldn’t have access‌ to the American financial‌ system. This ⁤covert circumvention of sanctions was neither in the spirit ‍nor the⁤ letter of the Iran deal.

It’s worth noting that ⁤Lew has a history of ‍involvement in shady banking practices. He headed a⁤ Citigroup hedge fund that bet‍ against⁤ the housing market, resulting in significant losses and the firing of thousands of‍ employees. Yet, Lew still⁤ received a substantial bonus check and ⁣went on to become Budget⁢ Director for Obama.

A Troubling Appointment

Now, as‍ our⁢ ambassador to Israel, Lew will⁣ be tasked ‌with protecting civilians in Gaza. However, ‌the myth that Israel is not engaged in a proportional response and fails to warn Arab civilians is a dangerous narrative perpetuated by⁤ Democrats ‌to appease their pro-Hamas wing. Lew’s appointment may incentivize Hamas to use more civilians as shields,‌ just‍ as he did with Iran.

It is clear that the⁣ contemporary ⁢Democrat stance on this conflict has been disastrously wrong, and few ⁤have been more wrong than Lew.

How did the Iran deal strain the relationship between the United States and Israel?

Further straining‍ the relationship between the United States ⁢and Israel.

Despite the⁢ clear ⁢dangers that these terrorist⁤ groups pose to Israel, the⁤ architects of the Iran deal failed to address this⁣ issue adequately. Instead, they ⁤prioritized appeasing Iran and securing a flawed nuclear agreement that ⁢did little ⁢to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons ⁢in the long term. This shortsighted approach not only⁤ endangered Israel but also undermined the‍ stability of the entire Middle East region.

One of the most alarming aspects of the Iran deal was the lifting of economic sanctions, which provided Iran with ‌a windfall of billions ⁣of dollars. This influx of cash allowed ⁢the Iranian regime to directly fund terrorist organizations and expand its military capabilities. As a result, we⁢ have seen an increase in Iran’s aggressive behavior in the region, including their continued support for proxy groups that seek to‌ destabilize Israel and the ‍wider‌ Middle East.

Furthermore, the Iran deal did⁤ not require Iran to‌ dismantle its nuclear infrastructure ⁣or ⁤submit to strict inspections, leaving open the possibility for Iran to ⁢resume its nuclear weapons program in ⁢the‌ future. This poses a direct threat not only to Israel but also to the entire international⁤ community.

Moving Forward

Now, with the appointment of Jack⁢ Lew as the ambassador to Israel, ‌we⁣ must be ⁢cautious about⁢ the direction of our Israel policy. Lew’s⁤ track record of‍ championing pro-Iran policies raises concerns about his ability to adequately protect Israel’s⁣ interests at a time when the threat from Iran and its proxies is increasing.

We cannot afford to repeat the⁢ mistakes of the past. It‍ is crucial that we have strong leadership that prioritizes the safety⁣ and security of Israel and takes a firm stance against Iran’s support for terrorism. This ‍starts with reevaluating the Iran deal and implementing a more comprehensive approach to address Iran’s destabilizing activities in the region.

We‌ must also work closely with our allies in the region, particularly Israel, to ⁣enhance their security capabilities ⁣and intelligence sharing. Only through a concerted effort can ‍we hope to counter the influence of Iran and its ⁤terrorist proxies.

The architects of the Iran deal and their ‍flawed policies⁣ have left a lasting impact on⁢ the Middle East, enabling ⁣the rise of terrorist ⁤proxies and ⁢endangering‌ the⁢ security‍ of Israel. It is ⁣up to us now to rectify these⁣ mistakes and ensure that our Israel policy prioritizes the safety and well-being of our ally. Jack Lew ⁤must prove ‌himself capable of this task if he wishes to‌ have ‍the trust and ‌support of ⁤the American people and‌ the Israeli government.
