Dems Openly Mock Those Concerned About China’s Spying
Top Democrat lawmakers ridiculed people who were concerned about their safety Chinese This spy balloon was trying to track the U.S. through this week’s downplaying of the threat.
The spy balloon was destroyed by an F-22 Raptor equipped with an A9X sidewinder missile. It was launched at approximately 58,000 feet. After President Joe Biden had allowed the balloon to fly thousands upon thousands of miles across the United States, the decision was made to shoot it down.
Democrat legislators were quick to mock and attack those who were worried about Communist China spying on the U.S.
“I hope everyone understands the performative unseriousness of Shoot the Balloon Down twitter,” Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) tweeted. “It’s not real. It’s all theater.”
Murphy then added the following: “See. All better, bed wetters.”
Rep. Don Byers, a Democratic-Va., fired his staffer after he was accused of being Spy caught Communist China also dismissed China’s spying on American sites strategic to the continent.

Sen. Chris Van Hollen, D-MD), attacked those criticizing Biden for failing to shoot down the balloon earlier and claimed they were helping China.
“No foreign power can violate our sovereignty,” He wrote it in a now-deleted Tweet. “I applaud @POTUS for his order to shoot down China’s spy balloon in a smart and safe way. Fine to ask tough questions, but those already playing politics with this only serve the interests of our adversaries.”
Biden claimed that he had won a victory lap in the aftermath of the downing of the spy balloon. “ordered the Pentagon to shoot it down on Wednesday as soon as possible,” But it was decided to not drop it on land, as the debris could cause serious damage if it fell to the ground.
U.S. officials reportedly “well aware” that the balloon had crossed into American airspace on January 28 and that it was over Idaho on Tuesday, but decided not to inform the public to not upend Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s diplomatic trip to China.
