Dems are ignoring voting rights as a key issue
Following a positive November midterm result for the Democratic Party’s, key leaders and strategists began to plan their next steps. They are looking at what worked and what didn’t, seeing how Republicans screwed up, and figuring out the line of attack going forward.
Donald Trump’s influence in 2022 was one of the factors that contributed to the success. Key swing states and districts are where Trump’s candidates struggled because it was the moderate and independent voters who decided more of the same was better than people focused on a past election. They saw that they were not able to defend themselves against problems like crime or immigration, and they suffered.
However, one of the main issues Democrats have been focusing upon since 2020 is the issue regarding voting rights. After Republican states passed tough election security legislations, the Democrats have tried to overhaul America’s voting system.
Of course, it should be noted that Democrats’ ideas are so radical even progressive nations around the world question what is up with American elections. A 750,000-voting country is more efficient than any other developed nation. It takes no less than seven days to determine who won. The Democrats, however, look at things such as ranked voting and extended early and absentee voting. All of these complicate the process and make it take longer than necessary.

For the last two years, Democrats in battleground states have played defense against Republican efforts to curtail voting access and amplify doubts about the legitimacy of the nation’s elections.
