Denver’s Paper of Record Takes Liberal Media Bias to a New Level
The Denver Post on Tuesday published a story that encourages readers to donate to abortion funds and powerful Democratic fundraiser ActBlue, Campfire Colorado reported.
In a piece on the Supreme Court’s potential overturning of Roe v. Wade, Post reporter Conrad Swanson linked to “a variety of abortion funding providers” and extensively quoted pro-abortion activists, including a Planned Parenthood official. He did not quote a single pro-life individual or link to any pro-life organizations. Swanson concluded his piece with this paragraph:
Anyone outside of Colorado who needs help traveling for an abortion in state should reach out to the wide variety of fundraising sources, which also include Keep Our Clinics, [Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights president Aurea] Bolaños Perea said. A broader list of abortion funds can be found online at secure.actblue.com. Those looking for legitimate clinics and to avoid “crisis pregnancy centers,” which seek to talk women out of abortions rather than providing any medical service, can search online at ineedana.com.
ActBlue is a Democratic fundraising behemoth used by the party’s candidates across the country. Disgraced former governor Andrew Cuomo (D., N.Y.) announced his resignation days after the platform booted him in light of Washington Free Beacon reporting. The platform still fundraises for men accused of sexual assault or harassment and organizations that bail out accused stranglers and rapists, the Free Beacon has reported.
Compass Colorado executive director Kyle Kohli first reported on Swanson’s pro-abortion cheerleading, Campfire Colorado noted.
This is not the first scandal the Post has faced over letting left-wing opinions seep into ostensibly unbiased news reporting. Schrader in 2020 fired libertarian columnist Jon Caldara after Caldara published a column insisting that “there are only two sexes.”
That insistence “seemed to be the law straw for my column,” Caldara wrote.
" Conservative News Daily does not always share or support the views and opinions expressed here; they are just those of the writer."
