DeSantis Heads To Iowa To Meet With Iowa Republican Lawmakers Ahead Of Expected 2024 Announcement: Report
Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis and Iowa Republican lawmakers will be meeting in Iowa’s capital Friday, ahead of an expected 2024 presidential campaign.
Bloomberg News reported DeSantis and members of the Senate and state House in Des Moines will meet to discuss their concerns. “the sort of retail politicking that’s expected in the Iowa caucuses.”
He will talk about his book. “The Courage to Be Free: Florida’s Blueprint for America’s Revival” The report stated that the reporter was at Davenport’s Rhythm City Casino before heading to Washington, DC to address the State Fairgrounds.
According to the report, Kim Reynolds, Iowa Republican Governor will also join DeSantis.

DeSantis addressed Florida’s State of the State on Tuesday. He highlighted the successes of his administration as well as his struggles with President Joe Biden.
In his address, DeSantis highlighted Florida’s success as the fastest-growing state in the country and ranking number one in the U.S. in numerous categories, including new business formations, economic growth among large states, tourism, law enforcement recruitment, education freedom, parental involvement in education, public higher education system, and space-related development, manufacturing, and flight.
“But now’s not the time to rest on our laurels,” He stated. “We have the opportunity and indeed the responsibility to swing for the fences so that we can ensure Florida remains number one.”

“Don’t worry about the chattering class,” DeSantis stated in apparent reference to those who speculate that he could run for the presidency in 2024. “Ignore all the background noise. Keep the compass set to true north. We will stand strong. We will hold the line. We won’t back down. And I can promise you this, you ain’t seen nothing yet.”
DeSantis repeatedly said, in multiple instances, when asked whether he would declare a presidential campaign for 2024 that he needs to finish the current two Florida legislative sessions before moving on to what the future holds.
