DeSantis targets 4 federal agencies for dismantling.

Ron DeSantis: Eliminating Federal Agencies and Pushing Back Against Woke Ideology

In a recent interview with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, he revealed his plans to eliminate four major federal agencies if elected president. However, he also has a backup plan if Congress doesn’t support his efforts.

When asked about his stance on eliminating agencies, DeSantis agreed that the Department of Education, Commerce, Energy, and the IRS should be on the chopping block. He believes that reducing the scope of government through these eliminations would be beneficial.

But DeSantis is prepared to take action even if Congress doesn’t go along with his plans. He intends to use these agencies to push back against woke ideology and leftism infiltrating American institutions.

DeSantis specifically mentioned reversing transgender sports policies and curriculum injections in schools. He also emphasized the need for an accreditation system in higher education that doesn’t promote DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusiveness) and CRT (Critical Race Theory).

As governor, DeSantis has already taken action against these ideologies. He has passed laws to combat their influence in schools and prevent their use as investment criteria for pension funds. Additionally, he has prohibited banks from using them against customers like gun retailers.

DeSantis is also campaigning to relocate half of the federal agencies’ employment footprint outside of Washington. He aims to “reconstitutionalize” the federal government by addressing the growth of the regulatory bureaucracy, which he sees as an unconstitutional fourth branch of government. He plans to rebuild the Department of Justice and the FBI.

If Trump Returns

Former President Donald Trump, in his approach to the bureaucracy, would look to resume the “Schedule F” Civil Service initiative from his first term if he returns to the White House.

This plan, which was rescinded by President Joe Biden, would add 50,000 upper-level civil service employees to the 4,000 political appointees currently serving at the president’s discretion out of over 2 million federal employees.

Trump’s executive order creating the Schedule F system was never fully implemented. It would have given the president the power to fire Schedule F employees who have influence over policy decisions.

During a speech in South Carolina, Trump expressed his determination to pass critical reforms…
