DeSantis vows ‘lethal force’ against cartels, criticizes Biden in NH.

Gov. Ron ⁢DeSantis Makes Presidential Pitch to New Hampshire⁤ Voters

On Friday, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) captivated New Hampshire voters with his passionate presidential pitch. He discussed his conservative ⁢border policies, ⁣defended his record of passing right-wing legislation in Florida, ‍and took jabs at the current‍ administration.

Commitment⁢ to Solving the Drug Crisis

DeSantis renewed his commitment to ‌combat the fentanyl and drug crisis at the southern border, vowing to use deadly force‍ against the cartel if elected.⁤ He even pledged to ‌build a‍ border⁣ wall to address the issue effectively.

“Day ⁣one, we’re declaring it to be a national emergency,” DeSantis declared during an interview ⁢on ‌WMUR 9 News’s Conversation with the Candidate. ”I’m going to do what no president has been willing to do. We are going to lean in⁤ against ⁣the cartels directly, and we are going⁢ to use deadly force‌ against them.”

DeSantis held President Joe Biden responsible for not taking ⁤sufficient action to prevent the cartel from importing fentanyl precursor chemicals from China, resulting ‌in thousands of overdose deaths in the nation each year.

Conservative Stance on‍ Abortion

The GOP presidential ‌candidate ‍also addressed abortion and Florida’s new black⁤ history curriculum. He proudly signed into⁤ law one of the nation’s ⁢most stringent abortion bans, prohibiting the procedure after six weeks of pregnancy, a measure pushed through by the Republican-dominated Florida legislature.

“We protected, in Florida, the⁢ rights for unborn babies that have a detectable heartbeat,” DeSantis emphasized. “That was something that was right for⁣ our state.”

While acknowledging the diversity ‍of opinion on abortion in the United States, DeSantis expressed his desire to⁣ promote a culture of life. He criticized⁣ California for allowing “post-birth abortion” ⁣and agreed to debate Gov.‍ Gavin Newsom (D-CA), a political rival with opposing views.

Feud with Vice President Kamala Harris

DeSantis found himself in a feud with‌ Vice President Kamala Harris over Florida’s new standards for teaching black history. The Florida Board ⁣of Education recently passed the⁢ curriculum, which includes instruction on ‌how‌ slaves⁢ benefited from the skills they learned.

“No political agenda — just do‌ what was true,” DeSantis defended his state’s changes. He also highlighted how the ⁤Republican Party, under Abraham Lincoln, played a crucial role in⁢ extinguishing slavery in the country.

Anti-“Woke” Stance

Like many Republican candidates, DeSantis positioned himself ⁣as an “anti-woke” politician, denouncing “woke” as a ⁣”form of cultural Marxism.”

“I think it’s important ‍that⁢ we fight against it because ⁣our society does need‌ to be rooted in truth,” DeSantis emphasized.
