DeSantis considers Republican for VP choice.
Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis considers Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds as potential VP
During a forum with Tucker Carlson, DeSantis praised Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, sparking speculation about her potential role as his vice presidential running mate.
At an event on Saturday, a reporter asked DeSantis if he would consider Reynolds for the position. DeSantis responded enthusiastically, stating, “Of course! She’s one of the top public servants in America. The attacks on her were totally out of hand and unnecessary.”
DeSantis further expressed his support for Republican office holders, emphasizing the importance of unity within the party. He commended Iowa’s accomplishments and praised Reynolds as a model public servant. He firmly stated that any Republican attempting to denigrate her is completely off base.
During his remarks, DeSantis was joined by Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), who nodded in agreement with his statements.
