DeSantis Says Florida Will Not Cooperate With Extradition of Trump

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has announced that his state will not cooperate with an extradition request made by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg against former President Donald Trump, calling the case “un-American.” Bragg, a Democrat, has spearheaded a case against the former president concerning “hush money” payments made to Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential election cycle. The felony indictment is the first of its kind against a former president.

Donald Trump has responded to the indictment by calling on his supporters to protest and “take back our country.” Trump currently resides in Florida at his property in Mar-a-Lago.

Governor Ron DeSantis removed Andrew Warren, a Soros-backed state attorney, in 2022 because of selective law enforcement practices, as reported by Townhall.

Many speculate that Ron DeSantis may run for president on the Republican ticket in 2024. In a recent interview with Piers Morgan, he criticized President Biden’s leadership and raised the possibility of challenging him in 2024.

Editor’s Note: Indicting a former president who is seeking to reclaim the White House would set a dangerous precedent that could eventually be used against anyone.
