DeSantis Starts Pro-Police Tour In NY, Philadelphia, Chicago
Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis is a strong defender of law enforcement and will be touring the country to support officers.
DeSantis will visit areas of New York City, Philadelphia, and Chicago, reportedly discussing his own efforts in Florida vis-à-vis law enforcement.
“It’s a law enforcement rally to send a message back to some of our elected officials that the laws that they have enacted in the state of New York are not working — specifically the bail reform laws — and it’s putting my members, detectives and cops in danger, as well as the public,” Paul DiGiacomo is the president of New York City’s Detectives’ Endowment Association. The meeting will be held Monday on Staten Island. “It’s gone too far to the left over the last couple of years.”

$1.8 Million to increase the number of Special Agents (and Law Enforcement) positions in the Department of Law Enforcement.
$6.8million for special pay adjustment based on the salary ranges of all sworn officers within FDLE and Department of Legal Affairs (DLA), State Attorneys (SCS) and State Courtss (SCS);
$8.5 million to increase the years of service for sworn officers in law enforcement within FDLE and DLA, State Attorneys and SCS.
$30 million will be used to pay a second round for bonus payments in recruitment for law enforcement officers new to the state. This includes those who relocate from other states. New law enforcement officers who are eligible for this initiative will receive $5,000 in bonus payments.
“What Florida has done is establish a blueprint for governance that has produced tangible results while serving as a rebuke to the entrenched elites who have driven our nation into the ground. Florida is proof positive that we, the people are not powerless in the face of these elites,” DeSantis has also written.
