DeSantis criticizes Biden for disregarding seventh grandchild: ‘Recognize her presence’
Gov. Ron DeSantis Calls Out President Biden for Ignoring His Granddaughter
Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) didn’t hold back in his criticism of President Joe Biden on Monday. He took aim at Biden’s failure to acknowledge his own granddaughter, Hunter Biden’s 4-year-old daughter. DeSantis called on the president to spend time with the child or at the very least, acknowledge her existence.
“You’re talking about all of our children; I have something to say to [Joe Biden],” DeSantis said. ”Why don’t you focus on spending more time with your granddaughter in Arkansas, or at least acknowledge she exists, before you worry about our children?”
But DeSantis didn’t stop there. He also addressed a group of protesters who were heckling him, waving an LGBT pride flag. He made it clear that he didn’t want them influencing or indoctrinating children.
“And they shouldn’t be worrying about our children either,” DeSantis continued, pointing to the protesters. ”We don’t want you indoctrinating our children. Leave our kids alone!”
The crowd erupted in cheers, showing their support for DeSantis’ strong stance.
Interestingly, President Biden has largely avoided acknowledging his seventh grandchild, Navy Joan Roberts. When asked about it during a press briefing, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had nothing to share.
Hunter Biden, the father of the child, settled the child support case filed against him by Lunden Roberts in June. The daughter was born in Arkansas in August 2018, while Hunter Biden was in a relationship with Hallie Biden, the widow of his deceased brother, Beau Biden.
It’s clear that DeSantis isn’t afraid to speak his mind and hold President Biden accountable for his actions.
